Day 01 BAGAN - PAKKOKU (L/D)

Board our luxurious Anawrahta at the quay of Bagan at around noon. You will be warmly welcomed by our friendly staff before checking in your cabin - your comfortable home for the next few days.

Lunch will be served on board as the ship makes its way to Pakkoku - a small trading town of Pakkoku located on the western riverbank of the Ayeyarwady. From the distance, you can see Pakokku Bridge - the longest bridge of Myanmar. 

Once reaching the shore, you will enjoy an excursion to some of the small industries in the region including a cheroot-rolling factory and a producer of ‘Burmese slippers’. The handicraft plays an important role in the lives of local vendors. After that, move onto a boisterous market to get a true glimpse of local trading activities. One of the most famous products in Pakokku is the production of Tobacco. So this is a great place to buy some Burmese cigars.

Proceed to the Shwegu Temple - noted for its intriguing and sophisticated carvings made from Yamanei wood. Inside the temple, there is a beautiful Buddha image seated on a lotus throne. Head back to board for lunch as the ship continues sailing to the highlight of your journey- Mandalay. In the early afternoon, the ship arrives in Mandalay.

As the sun casts its last rays over the region, it is the most special time of the day to take in the breathtaking views over the river when everything immerses in a golden light. Be ready for the evening event of “A toast to the past” during a British club where you can share some stories of Burma in old days. Dinner is served at the Hintha Hall. If you wish, you could join our open air cinema on the sun deck to see classic movies. (depends on weather conditions).

Day 02 PAKKOKU - YANDERBO (B/L/D)

Try to wake up early this morning to take part in a yoga session on the sun deck. This is a great way to charge energy for a new day and get your mind eased while merging with the grandeur of the Ayeyarwady. Today, the ship sails towards Yanderbo.

Enjoy breakfast on board as the ship crosses over the confluence of the Ayeyarwady and its fascinating tributary of Chindwin River.

The ship then approaches at the sleepy riverside village of Yanderbo. The village was once an important place where the Treaty of Yanderbo was signed marking the end of the First Anglo-Burmese war. It is now famous for its pottery products all over the country. You will be explained how the posts here could keep the water cooler than pots from other places in the country.

Enjoy a leisurely walk to explore the village. You can easily see that the villagers here are too friendly and open to interact with visitors. It is interesting to observe the unique techniques and skills to make various pots used by skillful hands of the locals. Try your hands to make one of these beautiful pots.

Return to the ship for a fabulous lunch buffet on board while the ship cruises northwards. Take your time to enjoy the timeless charm of the river from your bench on the sun deck or indulge yourself with a spa treatment is also a great experience you should try.

In the afternoon, you have great chance to get to know more some of the fascinating traditions of Burmese people through the demonstration of Longyi and Thanaka. The following presentation about Myanmar's history and culture is a great way to learn about this beautiful country. You are also offered a special chance to enjoy one of our various treatments in the Thanzin Spa before having dinner at the Hintha Hall.

After dinner, take some time to relax with a seat at the open air cinema on the sun deck to see a classic movie (depends on weather conditions).

Day 03 YANDERBO - AVA - MANDALAY (B/L/D)

Take the chance to join our yoga class on the sun deck to be ready for a new adventure.

Breakfast is served on board while sailing north for some more miles to the ancient capital of Ava.

Upon arrival, set off your city tour to discover some of the most well-known sites. Take a horse cart ride to explore the region with a visit to some extinct monasteries and fanes including Bagaya Kyaung - a beautiful teak monastery built in 1834 and also a monastic school, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery or the Nanmyint watch tower - noted for its unusual art and architecture. In the sacred building, choose a secret place to enjoy a laid-back picnic tea time in which you could feel the peace of the ancient city in a unique way.

Return to the ship for a hearty lunch buffet as the ship continues sailing north to another fascinating highlight of the trip - Mandalay. You will easily see the beautiful Sagaing Hills dotted with pagodas from the distance. Arrive in Mandalay in the early afternoon.

Your afternoon excursion will take you to some of the most significant sights of Mandalay. You will get amazing experiences with an observation of the astonishing process of the gold-leaf beating, a visit to a silk-weaving manufacturer and a stroll along lovely streets lined with many marble-carving workshops. As the day comes to an end, take a great chance to enjoy a sunset with a cruise in a small rowing boat around the teak bridge of U Bein. 

Back to the board for some relaxing time. You also enjoy a traditional dance and music performance by students and teachers of the Mandalay Art School before having dinner. 

After dinner, take your time to relax with a classic movie at an open-air cinema on the sun deck (depends on weather conditions).

Day 04 MANDALAY - MINGUN - MANDALAY (B/L/D)

Get up early this morning to immerse in the rustic charm on the Ayeyarwady before enjoying breakfast.

For the morning tour, you will be taken to some of the most well-known pagodas of Mandalay. Your first stop is the Kuthodaw Pagoda, also known as “the world’s largest book”. The pagoda consists of hundreds of marble slabs and a gilded pagoda. You also visit the Mahamuni Pagoda - a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site in Myanmar with a holy Buddha image in it. The last stop in your temple exploration is the impressive Shwenandaw Monastery which presents the finest art in the style of traditional 19th-century wooden monastery buildings. Proceed to the elevated point to get the panoramic views over the city of Mandalay.

Back to the board for lunch while cruising to another ancient land of Mingun - home to the famous unfinished stupa of King Bodawpaya. Exploring the stupa, you will learn more the hidden story behind as well as its history. Take a few step to the nearby Mingun bell- the biggest bell in the world with the weight of 90 tons.

Return to the ship for a high tea with cocktails, sweets, and treats as the ship sails back to Mandalay. After dinner in the restaurant, you are offered some farewell entertainment in the lounge for the last night of your cruise on board.

Day 01 MANDALAY - SAGAING & AVA (L/D)

At around noon, transfer to the quay of Mandalay’s riverside to embark on the luxurious Anawrahta. Once on the board, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff and then settle at your cabin for some refreshments. The ship will then make its way to Sagaing - an ancient capital of Burma. Lunch will be served at the restaurant of “Hinta Hall”. Afterwards, take your time to relax at the open air Kipling’s Bar or on the sun deck as the ship sails towards Sagaing.

Upon arrival in Sagaing, disembark for a shore excursion to some of the most famous sites of Sagaing and the former capital of Ava. You will cross over Avan Bridge connecting two old capitals. The royal capital city of Ava used to be served as the metropolis of the Burma between the 14th to 19th centuries. Take a horse cart ride to explore the region with a visit to some of the local attractions including Bagaya Kyaung - a beautiful teak monastery built in 1834 and also a monastic school, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery or the Nanmyint watch tower - noted for its unusual art and architecture. Day 03 PAKOKKU - BAGAN (B/L/D)

In the morning, take the chance to join our yoga class for a great beginning of a new day.

Breakfast will be served as the ship sails southwards for some more miles before arriving in Pakkoku. Located on the west of the Ayeyarwady's riverbank, Pakkoku is a small, sleeping trading town. From the distance, you can see Pakokku Bridge - the longest bridge of Myanmar. 

Disembark the ship to take a shore excursion to some of the small industries in the region including a cheroot-rolling factory and a producer of ‘Burmese slippers’. Learn more about local culture and the way of life of local vendors before moving onto a boisterous market to get a true glimpse of local trading activities. In addition to local handicraft products, Pakokku is also famous for its production of Tobacco. So this place is a great one if you are looking for to buy some Burmese cigars.

Continue your excursion to the Shwegu Temple to admire its intriguing and sophisticated carvings made from Yamanei wood. Inside the temple, you could also see a beautiful Buddha image seated on a lotus throne. Head back to board for lunch as the ship continues sailing southwards to the fascinating land of Bagan. In the early afternoon, the ship arrives in Bagan.

The afternoon is spent exploring the magnificent temples of the region. Stretching in the area of 30 square kilometers, there are thousands of temples, stupas, and pagodas dated back to centuries ago. In this temple exploration, you will visit some of the most famous temples including the spectacular Ananda Temple or the impressive Sulamani Pagoda. As the sun starts to set in the region, make your way to the summit of a pagoda to take in a stunning vista over the plain of temples.

Back on board for relaxing and enjoying a traditional Bagan dance performance at the Mandalay Lounge followed by dinner. After dinner, take your time to join our open air cinema on the sun deck to see another classic movie. (depends on weather conditions).

Day 04 BAGAN (B/L/D)

In this morning, you are offered a special chance to take a sunrise balloon flight over the temple plain of Bagan. (If you wish to use this service, you are required to book in advance with extra cost).

Start your morning tour with a visit to the colorful Nyaung-U market- an authentic Burmese market where you can find a variety of local produce. This is also a great place for a photo opportunity of local daily life. Leaving the market, you will pay a visit to the sacred Shwezigon Pagoda. This magnificent pagoda features a stupa gilded in gold leaf with many smaller temples and shrines around. There is also a stop at a lacquerware workshop to learn more the long lasting craftsmanship. Wrap your morning journey with a visit to the Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Pagoda for a closer look on the fine frescoes inside the pagoda. Return to the ship for lunch.

For the afternoon excursion, there are two options for you to take. For the first option, you will pay a visit to the revered Mount Popa monastery which is formed on a unique volcano. Burmese people believed that the monastery is home to their animist spirits - the Nats. Along the way make a stop at a beautiful palm sugar plantation from which you can see a typical local candies manufacturer.

For the second option, you are taken to the small village of Myinkaba. You also visit some impressive temples such as the Manuha Pagoda, dating from 1059 and the Gubyaukyi temple with stunning architecture. Then, spend some time exploring Minnanthu village on your own.

Return to the ship for some relaxing time before dinner. After dinner, you are welcomed to join some farewell entertainment in the lounge.

Day 01 MANDALAY - SAILING (L/D)

We embark Anawrahta Cruise at  Mandalay's river bank. We have a short briefing about safety, then have lunch as we cruise downstream. We spend the day relaxing while cruising. What awaits us are the comfortable Spa, including the only Swedish style sauna in the Ayeyarwaddy, and the 8-metre Jacuzzi style swimming pool. In the early afternoon, we will have a longyi presentation and a lecture about Burmese culture. In the evening, we all join in a compelling longyi cocktail party with fellow passengers.

Day 02 MONYWA (B/L/D)

In the morning, we reach the Chindwin and sail forward to Monywa town. We will have a lecture about the Burmese language in the Mandalay Lounge. In the afternoon, we take a trip to several cave-temple complexes at Pho Win Taung and Shwe Ba Taung. These caves are traced back to 300 years ago, featuring various fascinating carvings on the sandstone like animals, plants, orges, demons, and Buddha images, along with gorgeous paintings of Konbaung period. Day 03 MOKTAW (B/L/D)

In the morning, we arrive at Moktaw - a typical riverside village and learn about the local’s traditional lifestyle. In case we’re lucky, we may be able to see a special ceremony at the local monastery. We will have lunch while enjoying the view. Next, we have an afternoon tea section then we have a presentation about the ancient habit of betel-chewing. We stay the night near Maukkadaw.

Day 04 MAUKKADAW & KALAYWA (B/L/D)

In the early morning, we take a walk around Maukkadaw Village, which once was a bustling teak port. Nowadays, we can still see remaining teak companies. Besides that, we also come to local school and explore the village. Later on, we return to Anawrahta Cruise. We will have a lesson about the Burmese language for beginners and a Book Review about Burma. In the afternoon, we will have another lecture about Myanmar’s history and present condition. If possible, we may have an opportunity to take a walk at Kalaywa riverside port before our dinner onboard.

Day 05 KALAYMYO (B/L/D)

This morning we will take a one-hour drive inland to visit the market at Kalaymyo, which is the gateway to Chin State and a trading post to India, being less than 80 miles from that border. There will be the opportunity to purchase traditional Chin fabrics and to visit a silk weaving factory. The Chin Hills stand over the town, making a dramatic backdrop on a clear day. We will return in time for lunch on Anawrahta Cruise and continue sailing through a wild landscape of forested gorges and rolling hills. If our Captain has had a good day there should be time to walk among the Colonial houses of Mawleik before sunset.

Day 06 MAWLEIK AND SITTAUNG (B/L/D)

In the morning, we take a trip to the Pyarswal Elephant Camp before exploring Mawleik. Mawliek was once the British administrative capital of the region, and we can still see many colonial buildings built by Bombay-Burmah Trading Company standing even now. Some said that Mawleik was chosen over the more strategical Kaleywa due to the marvelous duck shooting here. In the afternoon, we have lectured about the place’s development, including the great river fleet of Irrawaddy Flotilla Company with 700 ships Irrawaddy Flotilla Company. Many of this fleet was sunk in Sitthaung, preventing them from being used by the marching Japanese.

Day 07 SITTAUNG AND TOUNGDOOT (B/L/D)

In the morning, we visit the small village of Sittaung with only 28 houses and about 200 villagers. After the visit, join us in the Mandalay Lounge to write your name on Burmese script before our tasty buffet lunch. In the early afternoon, we take a trip to Toungdoot (or “Hswang-hsup” in Tai), located near the border with Thailand, where the Shan people live far away from their homeland. We stay the night near Kyaing Kyaing.

Day 08 HOMALIN (B/L/D)

In the morning, we reach Homalin which is the end of the 400-mile navigable Chindwin for us. We will take a trip around the area, including enjoying the fantastic view at Buddha Lotus Garden. In addition, the guide will tell us about the importance of many statues reflecting the scenes about Buddha’s life. Afterwards, we back to Anawrahta Cruise to cruise downstream. In the afternoon, we have a lecture about the religion in Burma.

Day 09 SAILING - MINGKIN (B/L/D)

We spend time relaxing onboard as we cruise through charming landscapes and enjoy the facilities on the Anawrahta Cruise. Our cruise will take about 150-mile to Mingkin, an outpost of Burmese Konbaung Kings and also where several magnificent teak-carved monasteries reside. If possible, we may be able to take a trip at one of these in Kanywa village at the end of the day.

Day 10 MINKIN AND KANI (B/L/D)

In the morning we visit Gyi-taung-oo (“Great Sacred Hill) village where the only wooden monastery, which built before the beginning of Konbaung Dynasty in 1752, still stands. Just like its name, we can have several good sights from the monastery over the area and the river. As our journey continues to Minkin town, we will stop by Maha Min Kyaung Monastery built in 1912, which has an intriguing architectural design between Burmese and European. 

We will have lunch onboard. Then in the early afternoon, we will take a trip at Kani, a small town known to be the home of the “Lord of the White Horse”, one of the “Nat Spirits”. They are guardian spirits have existed before the Buddhism arrival, revered by Burmese.

Day 11 BAGAN (B/L/D)

We spend the morning enjoying ourselves, including a lecture about Bagan - the ancient city of King Anawrahta. The Bagan period is among the finest of Myanmar history as the country gradually changed to Buddhism and built numerous Buddhism pagodas, monuments. We will take a tour around the area, including the significant Ananda Temple, the gorgeous Sulamani Pagoda, and finally one of the ‘sunset’ pagodas to enjoy the spectacular sceneries of the sunset over the plain of Bagan. We stay the night at Bagan.

Day 12 BAGAN - CHECK-OUT (B)

Those who stay in Bagan or have a later flight (after 10:00 AM) will have a chance to take part in one of the best experiences in Myanmar which are the Hot Air Balloon flight during the sunrise over Bagan’s plain and temples. Note: It is almost always required to book in advance.

There is an early morning trip which takes us to the busy Nyaung-U market and the honored Shwezigon Pagoda. Then we will explore one of the famous lacquer ware workshops where you will be shared about the ancient craftsmanship. After the trip, we back to Anawrahta Cruise to check out in the late morning.

Day 01 NWE NYEIN (L/D)

In the morning, we embark on Anawrahta Cruise in Mandalay and set sail North through the Dolphin Sanctuary. We also have a lecture about Burmese Ways of Life, and in the early afternoon, a presentation about Burmese traditional longyi. In the late afternoon, we take a trip to Nwe Nyein village, a pottery village well known for its traditional potteries craftsmanship. In the evening, we have a special longyi Cocktail Party with fellow passengers.

Day 02 DAGUANG (B/L/D)

In the morning, there is yoga/meditation section. We cruise through the 3rd Defile with rolling hills. We also pass the bamboo villages and fishing hamlets where we will feel a tranquil atmosphere. We have a morning cooking class, then in the afternoon we have a lesson about Burmese language. In the late afternoon, we arrive at Dagaung where we will experience the locals’ life on the riverbank, and also visit the ancient fort, archeological site, and famed nat shrines.

Day 03 KATHA (B/L/D)

In the morning, there is yoga/meditation section. In the afternoon, we arrive at Katha, a charming colonial town described in the book “Burmese Days” by George Orwell. There hasn’t much changed ever since. Among the interesting parts is the fire station’s collections of bells from Irrawaddy Flotilla Company ships sunk in the Second War. In Katha lies hundred of ships remnants and the old flotilla sunk in 1942 as an “Act of Denial” before the marching Japanese. We will travel to places written in the book, and see how life used to be in this colonial area.

Day 04 KATHA AND SHWE GU (B/L/D)

In the morning, we visit Katha’s busy market, and an elephant logging camp residing in the hardwood forests of the hills surrounding the town. After that, we come to the old Golf Club then back to Anawrahta Cruise and have lunch. In the afternoon, we spend the time relaxing while we cruise upstream to Shwe Gu. In addition, there is afternoon section before the lecture about Myanmar’s history and current state.

Day 05 SHWE PAW KYUN AND THE 2ND DEFILE (B/L/D)

In the early morning, we can take a walk around the Shwe Paw Kyun, a rarely visited island. Next, we should ready on the Sun Deck as we about to reach the impressive 2nd Defile. The trail can take approximately 2 hours, depend on the current’s power. Once we sail to the other side, we will turn to the Sinkan Bridge and get back to the rapid current of the Defile. It can take only 25 minutes to arrive at the other point! We will keep cruising and pass Katha before our stay for the night

Day 06 THAGARA (B/L/D)

We will arrive at Thagara, here we get on the hill and visit the magnificient Reclining Buddha looking Southwards, and enjoy the scenery of the 3rd Defile. Afternoon can be the relaxing time to enjoy the Anawrahta Cruise’s facilities like the spacious Spa (which includes the Ayeyarwaddy’s only Swedish style sauna) or the 8-meter whirlpool swimming pool where you can still see the surrounding sceneries while lying on the water. There is also a lecture about Burmese religion and another lesson about Burmese language. We will stay the night near Tabbeikyin which is the nearest port to the well-known Mogok ruby mines.

In the morning, we may be able to take a trip to Thiha Taw Island in the mouth of the 3rd Defile, depend on the weather and water level. There was a gorgeous monastery here, but about 100 years ago, the place was suddenly abandoned without knowing why. Monks from the monastery were known to be able to tame fishes and use gold’leaf during special rites. In the afternoon, we will have a lecture about Mandalay history while we cruise to the South. In the late afternoon, we arrive at Mandalay where we will be able to behold the spectacular sunset at U Bein Bridge – Burma’s longest teak bridge.

Board our luxurious Anawrahta at the quay of Bagan at around noon. You will be warmly welcome by our friendly staff before checking in your cabin - your comfortable home for the next few days.

Lunch will be served on board as the ship makes its way to Pakkoku - a small trading town of Pakkoku located on the western riverbank of the Ayeyarwady. From the distance, you can see Pakokku Bridge - the longest bridge of Myanmar. 

Once reaching the shore, you will enjoy an excursion to some of the small industries in the region including a cheroot-rolling factory and a producer of ‘Burmese slippers’. The handicraft plays an important role in the lives of local vendors. After that, move onto a boisterous market to get a true glimpse of local trading activities. One of the most famous products in Pakokku is the production of Tobacco. So this is a great place to buy some Burmese cigars.

Proceed to the Shwegu Temple - noted for its intriguing and sophisticated carvings made from Yamanei wood. Inside the temple, there is a beautiful Buddha image seated on a lotus throne. Head back to board for lunch as the ship continues sailing to the highlight of your journey- Mandalay. In the early afternoon, the ship arrives in Mandalay.

As the sun casts its last rays over the region, it is the most special time of the day to take in the breathtaking views over the river when everything immerses in a golden light. Day 02 PAKKOKU - YANDERBO (B/L/D)

Try to wake up early this morning to take part in a yoga session on the sun deck. This is a great way to charge energy for a new day and get your mind eased while merging with the grandeur of the Ayeyarwady. Today, the ship sails towards Yanderbo.

Enjoy breakfast on board as the ship crosses over the confluence of the Ayeyarwady and its fascinating tributary of Chindwin River.

The ship then approaches at the sleepy riverside village of Yanderbo. The village was once an important place where the Treaty of Yanderbo was signed marking the end of the First Anglo-Burmese war. It is now famous for its pottery products all over the country. You will be explained how the pots here could keep water cooler than pots from aother places in the country.

Enjoy a leisurely walk to explore the village. You can easily see that the villagers here are too frienly and open to interact with visitors. It is interesting to observe the unique techniques and skills to make various pots used by skillful hands of the locals. Try your hands to make one of these beautiful pots.

Return to the ship for a fabulous lunch buffet on board while the ship cruises northwards. Take your time to enjoy the timeless charm of the river from your bench on the sun deck or indulge yourself with a spa treatment is also a great experience you should try.

In the afternoon, you have great chance to get to know more some of the fascinating traditions of Burmese people through the demonstration of Longyi and Thanaka. The following presentation about Myanmar's history and culture is a great way to learn about this beautiful country. Day 03 YANDERBO - AVA - MANDALAY (B/L/D)

Take the chance to join our yoga class on the sun deck to be ready for a new adventure.

Breakfast is served on board while sailing north for some more miles to the ancient capital of Ava.

Upon arrival, set off your city tour to discover some of the most well known sites. Take a horse cart ride to explore the region with a visit to some extinct monasteries and fanes including Bagaya Kyaung - a beautiful teak monastery built in 1834 and also a monastic school, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery or the Nanmyint watch tower - noted for its unusual art and architecture. In the sacred building, choose a secret place to enjoy a laidback picnic teatime in which you could feel the peace of the ancient city in a unique way.

Return to the ship for a hearty lunch buffet as the ship continues sailing north to another fascinating highlight of the trip - Mandalay. You will easily see the beautiful Sagaing Hills dotted with pagodas from the distance. Arrive in Mandalay in the early afternoon.

Your afternoon excursion will take you to some of the most significant sights of Mandalay. You will get amazing experiences with an observation of the astonishing process of the gold-leaf beating, a visit to a silk-weaving manufacturer and a stroll along lovely streets lined with many marble-carving workshops. As the day comes to an end, take a great chance to enjoy sunset with a cruise in a small rowing boat around the teak bridge of U Bein.

Day 03 YANDERBO - AVA - MANDALAY - DISEMBARKATION (B/L)

Take the chance to join our yoga class on the sun deck to be ready for a new adventure.

Breakfast is served on board while sailing north for some more miles to the ancient capital of Ava.

Upon arrival, set off your city tour to discover some of the most well-known sites. Take a horse cart ride to explore the region with a visit to some extinct monasteries and fanes including Bagaya Kyaung - a beautiful teak monastery built in 1834 and also a monastic school, Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery or the Nanmyint watch tower - noted for its unusual art and architecture. In the sacred building, choose a secret place to enjoy a laidback picnic teatime in which you could feel the peace of the ancient city in a unique way.

Return to the ship for a hearty lunch buffet as the ship continues sailing north to another fascinating highlight of the trip - Mandalay. You will easily see the beautiful Sagaing Hills dotted with pagodas from the distance. Arrive in Mandalay in the early afternoon. Check out the ship and wish you a wonderful onward journey in the Golden Land - Myanmar.

Day 01 MANDALAY - SAGAING & AVA (L/D)

At around noon, transfer to the quay of Mandalay’s riverside to embark on the luxurious Anawrahta. Once on the board, you will be warmly welcome by our staff and then settle at your cabin for some refreshments. The ship will then make its way to Sagaing - an ancient capital of Burma. Lunch will be served at the restaurant of “Hinta Hall”. Afterwards, take your time to relax at the open air Kipling’s Bar or on the sun deck as the ship sail towards Sagaing.

Upon arrival in Sagaing, disembark for an ashore excursion to some of the most famous sites of Sagaing and the former capital of Ava. You will cross over Avan Bridge connecting two old capitals. The royal capital city of Ava used to be served as the metropolis of the Burma between the 14th to 19th centuries. Day 03 PAKOKKU - BAGAN (B/L/D)

In the morning, take the chance to join our yoga class for a great beginning of a new day.

Breakfast will be served as the ship sails southwards for some more miles before arriving in Pakkoku. Located on the west of the Ayeyarwady's riverbank, Pakkoku is a small, sleeping trading town. From the distance, you can see Pakokku Bridge - the longest bridge of Myanmar. 

Disembark the ship to take an ashore excursion to some of the small industries in the region including a cheroot-rolling factory and a producer of ‘Burmese slippers’. Learn more about local culture and the way of life of local vendors before moving onto a boisterious market to get a true glimpse of local trading activities. In addition to local handicraft products, Pakokku is also famous for its production of Tobacco. So this place is a great one if you are looking for to buy some Burmese cigars.

Continue your excursion to the Shwegu Temple to admire its intriguing and sophisticated carvings made from Yamanei wood. Inside the temple, you could also see a beautiful Buddha image seated on a lotus throne. Head back to board for lunch as the ship continues sailing southwards to the fascinating land of Bagan. In the early afternoon, the ship arrives in Bagan.

The afternoon is spent exploring the magnificent temples of the region. Stretching in the area of 30 square kilometres, there are thousands of temples, stupas and pagodas dated back to centuries ago. In this temple exploration, you will visit some of the most famous temples including the spectacular Ananda Temple or the impressive Sulamani Pagoda. As the sun starts to set in the region, make your way to the summit of a pagoda to take in a stunning vista over the plain of temples.

Back on board for relaxing and enjoying a traditional Bagan dance performance at the Mandalay Lounge followed by dinner. After dinner, take your time to join our open air cinema on the sun deck to see another classic movie. (depends on weather conditions).

Day 04 BAGAN DISEMBARKATION (B)

It is for sure you get a memorable experience with our luxury vessel and on land as well.

ANAWRAHTA CRUISE POLICY

1. Alteration of schedule and cruise itinerary

Though every effort will be made to ensure that the published itinerary is followed as closely as possible, given uncertain river and other local conditions, all schedules and itineraries maybe subject to alterations and delays at short notice.

2. Deposit

2.1. For booking with less than 05 cabins

If a booking is made more than 70 days prior departure date, a 30% deposit must be made at the time of booking. Balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

If a booking is made less than 70 days, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.

2.2. For booking from 05 cabins and more

Please contact our sales team for group rates (charters, group, and series). Different inclusions may apply for GIT bookings.

3. Cancellation by us

In the event that we are unable to provide cruise services to passengers with confirmed bookings or departures where occupancy is less than 5 cabins, Anawrahta Cruise reserves the rights to cancel the journey giving all passengers with confirmed bookings 30 days prior notice of this intention. An alternative cruise vessel (similar itinerary and ship category) or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. Any surcharges or difference in cruise prices will be born or reimbursed by Anawrahta Cruise. If this alternative date or the alternative vessel is not acceptable to the passenger any down payments made for the cancelled cruise will be refunded. In the event that a passenger has cancelled and paid cancellation fees and Anawrahta Cruise subsequently cancels that departure then any cancellation fees (and down payment) will be refunded in full on the request of the passenger.

4. Cancellation by Customer

If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. E-mail cancellation or booking amendments are only effective once re-confirmed by us. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:

4.1. For booking with less than 05 cabins

Cancellations made 185 days or more before departure: 5% charge of total price

Cancellations made 184 to 70 days prior to departure: 20% charge of total price

Cancellations made 69 to 35 days prior to departure: 55% charge of total price

Cancellations made less than 35 days prior to departure or no show: 100% charge of total price

4.2. For booking from 05 cabins and more

Cancellations will be applied according to the condition of group booking. Please contact our sales team for further information.

*In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.

5.  Child & Third Person Policy

Anawrahta Cruise allows children above 5 years old on board (contact us for special permission for infants below 5 years old).

a) Maximum one child between 5 and 12 years old per cabin sharing bed with parents

b) From 5 to 12 years old special child rate applies: 

- Child share existing bedding pays 25% of the net rate per person (double occupancy).

- Child sleeps on extra bed pays 30% of the net rate per person (double occupancy).

c) Above 12 years old adult rate applies and has to occupy extra bed if available and pay 70% of the net rate per person (double occupancy). Extra bed available (all cabin types).

d) Maximum three passengers per cabin are allowed

NOTE: Children are only allowed on board in accompany by an adult. Anawrahta Cruise is not responsible for the safety on board of children. Parents are fully reliable for their children and have to supervise and police their children at all times.

6. Insurance

We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. In this case, guests will be reimbursed the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. Anawrahta Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.

7. Dietary needs

For travelers with special dietary needs, they should contact with us at least 30 days prior to embarkation. The cruise liner will make the outmost effort to provide special dietary needs and requests basing on product’s availability.

8. Travelers’ responsibilities

All the travelers taking the cruise should take responsibilities towards their fellow passengers and the crew of the ship. Travelers should review the conditions of the trip itinerary and have a proper social behavior with fellow passengers and crew members. They should observe all the safety requirements on board and on excursions.
