by Kate Le Aug 03, 2017
Normally, sailing across the river in Myanmar takes about 3 or 4 nights to see all the most popular destinations of the country. However, some ships still organize special programs for those who could not afford a long holiday.
Pandaw Cruise and Paukan Cruise are the two cruise lines that have an itinerary for 1 night.
Pandaw Cruise Line
For a short cruise on Pandaw, passengers could choose amongst these ships: RV Katha Pandaw – 16 cabins, RV Kindat Pandaw – 18 cabins and RV Zawgyi Pandaw – 10 cabins. The cruise is between two ancient captitals of Burma – Mandalay and Bagan. During the cruise, passengers could have short stop and an afternoon walk around the old colonial village of Sameikkon. Sameikkon, a village in the south of Saigang, was formerly known as a wealthy trading post. In the present, the village consists of splendid network of teak footbridges that connect the village to the local monastery.
